This large hand- woven soft cotton cushion cover with it's subtle black zig zag pattern and charming fringed detail will blend seamlessly into your home.

The cushion cover has a practical envelope closure on the back, which makes inserting and removing the inner cushion a breeze.   

It is packaged plastic free and each cover comes with the makers name on the label. 

For cleaning, we recommend gentle hand washing with cold water.   Please note that bleaching and drying under the sun should be avoided to maintain the quality and colour of the pillowcase. The cotton is not chemically processed and is therefore not suitable for the tumble dryer. 

Discover the story behind this cushion cover;

The cotton is sourced from local farmers in Java.  The cotton fields are naturally fertilised and the cotton bolls are picked by hand.  The cotton is then separated from the capsule in a ginning machine.  The cotton obtained is pressed into bales, combed and spun into yarn by hand.  After the yarn has been spun, the craftsmen process it by hand on traditional wooden looms.  Cotton is characterised by its absorbency and skin-friendliness.

When Soeji select their local producers, they value fair pay and good working conditions. Only adult and experienced artisans work in the companies from which Soeji purchase their goods.  No harmful chemicals are used during production. Since all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process hardly produces any greenhouse gas emissions. Soeji ensure all of this through regular on-site visits and ongoing personal contact with their production partners.
